Device and Usage Information
We collect information about how you access the HTL Sites and use our Services, including data about the device and network you use, such as your hardware model, operating system version, mobile network, IP address, unique device identifiers, browser type, and app version. We also collect information about your activity on our HTL Sites, such as access times, pages viewed, links clicked, and the page you visited before or after navigating to our HTL Sites.
Cookies
HTL Sites use cookies. A cookie is a small text file sent to your internet browser’s files for our reference. A cookie is set when you register on our websites. Cookies allow our server computer to recognize your computer when you return to HTL Sites, so you don’t have to re-register and so we can retain any preferences you may have given us. You can usually adjust your browser settings to remove or reject cookies.
Third party sites

Third parties may collect information for their own contests or promotions, and may have their own privacy and data collection practices. HTL is not responsible for and bears no liability for these policies or actions.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use your personal information to:
SHARING OF INFORMATION
We share personal information in the following circumstances or as otherwise described in this Policy:
ANALYTICS & ADVERTISING
HTL collects IP addresses and related information for the purposes of system administration and to create aggregate statistical reports for advertisers. This information does not include your contact information.
Browser information (i.e. the URL of the webpage you were just on, the IP address of the computer you are using, your domain type, and your browser version) is automatically recorded as part of transmitting information over the Internet.
We may use it to help us display information in the best format for you.
We may develop summary statistical reports for advertisers, to help them better understand our audience and provide advertisements that are more likely to be of interest to you. For example, we may report total number of visitors to our website in general or to specific webpages, average length of visit, etc. No identifying data about individuals is shared with advertisers.
During your visit to our websites, we may record choices you have made and use this to provide more customized content or advertising. This is sometimes called “clickstream” data.
We may use other industry standard technologies like pixel tags and web beacons to track your use of our websites and promotions, or we may allow our affiliates and third-party service providers to use these devices on our behalf. Pixel tags and web beacons are tiny graphic images placed on certain pages on our websites, or in our emails that allow us to determine whether you have performed a specific action. When you access these pages or open or click an email, pixel tags and web beacons generate a notice of that action. Pixel tags allow us to measure and improve our understanding of visitor traffic and behaviour on our websites, as well as give us a way to measure the effectiveness of our promotions and performance.
Advertising on HLT Sites
The ads appearing on many of the HTL Sites are delivered to you using online advertising networks, and Adobe Media Optimizer (or similar) technology. Information about your visits to HTL Sites, such as the number of times you have viewed an ad or visited certain pages of HTL Sites (but not your name, address, email or other personal information) is used to serve ads to you.
The ad network providers use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies on your computer to help present, better target, and measure the effectiveness of the advertisements served to you on HTL Sites or through affiliate advertising network providers.
Web beacons utilize JavaScript code and write information to cookies, which are small files on your computer. If you do not want a cookie to be written, simply change the setting in your browser.
Rejecting or limiting cookies
Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually adjust your browser settings to remove or reject browser cookies. Please note that removing or rejecting cookies could affect the availability and functionality of our HTL Site.
To opt-out of interest-based advertising, and to find information about how to block or limit cookies, you can review privacy choices we offer on the footer of HTL Sites or visit AdChoices, the Canadian self-regulatory program for online interest-based advertising, administered by the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada (“DAAC”).
Promotional Communications and Canada’s Anti Spam Law (“CASL”)
If you live in Canada, we will only send you commercial electronic messages (“CEMs”) where we have your express or implied consent to do so. Your consent to receive CEMs is implied where we have an existing business relationship with you, or you have reached out to us and made an inquiry within a certain time frame.
Regardless of where you live, you may unsubscribe from receiving CEMs at any time, by clicking the unsubscribe button on an email or following the direction provided in a text message.
If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.
SECURITY AND DATA RETENTION
Children and privacy
The privacy of children is important to us. We will not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from anyone under the age of 18. Your children should always ask you for permission before sending personal information to HTL or to anyone else. HTL cannot verify the validity of persons claiming to be age-eligible to access such websites.
Safeguarding Personal Information
Our websites use industry-standard security measures to protect data against loss, misuse and interception by third parties. Our security policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary. However, HTL assumes no liability for interception, alteration or misuse of information transmitted over the Internet.
Generally speaking, whenever you disclose personal information online there is a risk that the information may be intercepted, collected and used. That goes for information disclosed on message boards, in chat areas – or even in e-mail. HTL is not responsible if that information is intercepted. You transmit information at your own risk.
You alone are responsible for keeping passwords and information safe. Be careful and responsible whenever you are online.
Retention of Personal Information
The personal information that you provide will be retained by HTL in accordance with applicable laws. However, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information we hold if it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected.

Depending upon where you reside, we may charge a minimal fee for providing such access to you. If you believe that the personal information that we hold about you is not accurate or complete, you may write to us at support@hometeamlive.com. If you are able to establish that the information is not accurate or complete, we will take reasonable steps to delete and/or correct the information so that it is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. In order to facilitate a request to correct or update information, we may ask you to provide additional information to confirm your identity. Any such information will only be used for the purpose of confirming your identity and will not be retained by us.
